Have a Happy Spirit

Taking good care of your spirit both includes and goes beyond prayer. It involves stepping outside of yourself, reaching out and connecting to the world around you — whether it's family, community, humanity, the Earth or a higher power. Spirituality often involves doing for or giving to others. In a word, spirit equals love.

Many Eastern cultures embrace the idea that the mind, body and spirit do not exist separately in time or place; they are integrated and interrelated. What happens to one impacts the others. Balance is key: Nourish the body, quiet the mind, engage the spirit. For example, meditation can calm your mind, relax your body and soothe your spirit1.

What on earth does this have to do with your menstrual period? In an abstract way, it symbolizes rebirth. Go forth: Be positive, and have a happy period.
